Ana Luisa González

¡Hola! I am Ana Luisa González, a bilingual multimedia writer. As a Colombian freelance journalist based in Colombia, I have focused on arts and culture, social justice, and human rights issues across Latin American communities.

My articles and special reports have been featured in VICE, The New Humanitarian, OkayAfrica, Remezcla, Latino USA, EATER, Fusion (Splinter news), LA WEEKLY, PRI, Contemporary and América Latina (C&AL), and more, reaching a local and international audience through their publication. My reporting on Afro-Colombian communities has been featured in NPR. I have also provided fixing and translating services to several film productions, including a German documentary series of the SAT TV channel.

I studied literature and hold a master's degree in arts journalism from the University of Southern California. I speak fluent Spanish, English, and French at an intermediate level.

I am passionate about short stories (check out what I’m reading here).

I am available for writing assignments and opportunities. Send me a message here.
